Best Cases: Submissions Open October 15! 

The 2025 ISCD Conference on Skeletal Health Assessment welcomes the submission of Best Cases as part of this exciting event!

Best Cases will be submitted through the ISCD DXA Atlas, which serves as an archive of interesting DXA cases. Submissions will be open to both members and non-members during the open dates listed below.

Submissions for this meeting will describe original findings of clinical or scientific merit and relate to osteoporosis and/or fracture prevention, fall prevention, team-based care, skeletal imaging, diagnosis, or treatment.

Important Dates:


Submission Period Opens:        October 15, 2024

Submission Period Closes:        December 16, 2024

Best Case Notification:               January 8, 2025

Who Should Submit


Residents, students, trainees and fellows, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and technologists are strongly encouraged to submit Best Cases.

Those who submit are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference.

Submission Instructions


Best Cases must be submitted through the ISCD DXA Atlas. Submissions are open to both members and non-members during the open dates listed above (however only members can view submissions). Please follow these steps to submit your Best Case: 

  • DXA Atlas: https://iscd.org/iscd-dxa-atlas/
  • Click on the “Submit A Case” button
  • Select number of images to be included with your submission (2, 4, 6)
  • Click “Start your Submission”
  • Enter the required fields, images, and captions
  • Category (MUST Select “Boston 2025-Best Cases” to ensure proper review)
  • Click Submit

Topic Guidelines


Best Case submissions for this meeting will describe original findings of clinical or scientific merit and relate to osteoporosis and/or fracture prevention, fall prevention, team-based care, skeletal imaging, diagnosis, or treatment, and align with one of the following themes:

  • Exercise, Rehabilitation and Fall Prevention

  • Non Central DXA: (QCT, pQCT, QUS, pDXA, FEA)
  • Quality Improvement Projects (including office- or unit-based projects)
