Conference Registration

Users can participate in the 2025 ISCD Conference on Skeletal Health Assessment by attending live in-person or remotely through a livestream (using Zoom). Please keep in mind that participants are only able to claim one type of credit, either ACCME or ASRT, so use the following guidelines to determine your participation preference:

  • In-person: Can claim ACCME or ASRT
  • Livestream (via Zoom): Can claim ACCME or ASRT NOTE: Users selecting the Livestream option can also watch recordings after the sessions, but can ONLY claim ACCME credit (recordings will be available for 90 days after the event ends)

Quality Bone Densitometry: for Clinicians

Tuesday & Wednesday, February 18 & 19, 2025 

The core elements of this course serve to increase the knowledge and competence of clinicians regarding bone densitometry and osteoporosis diagnosis, clinical evaluation, treatment and monitoring and to apply standard practices to assure quality performance and interpretation of bone densitometry studies. The first day sets the standard to perform quality DXA interpretation, while the second day focuses on the clinical assessment, prevention, treatment and management/monitoring of osteoporosis and the essential role that high-quality DXA plays in treatment decisions and monitoring of osteoporotic patients.

Quality Bone Densitometry: for Technologists

Tuesday & Wednesday, February 18 & 19, 2025 

The core elements of this program focus on performing quality DXA scans, dissecting the data and applying this knowledge to a technologist’s role in patient care. This course, which focuses on quality DXA, is innovative, interactive and informative.  The course emphasizes technical excellence in the performance, analysis and troubleshooting. It provides standard practices and applications to raise the quality of DXA scan procedures and their impact on patient care. The program is designed to enhance awareness of the technical expertise involved in performing bone densitometry and applying protocols to address the everyday challenges.

Vertebral Fracture Recognition Course

Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm EST

This advanced densitometry course focuses on vertebral fracture imaging in order to advance the diagnosis and treatment of patients at risk of osteoporotic fractures. The importance of vertebral fractures in the clinical management of osteoporosis will be covered, including recognition on lateral spine images of a normal spine, vertebral fractures and other findings that may be confused with vertebral fractures. Fracture recognition, analysis, and best-practice patient positioning will be detailed in order to ensure ideal image acquisition, interpretation, and reporting.

ISCD Orthopedic Osteoporosis and Densitometry Course

Saturday, February 22, 2025, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST

This ISCD Orthopedic Osteoporosis and Densitometry Course consists of a variety of sessions in didactic lectures, question and answer sessions and case-based interactive presentations. Overall, this will allow learners to receive information from leading experts in important topic areas. The course will provide learners with opportunities to engage with their colleagues. The case presentations provide learners with tangible examples that they might face in their own professional practice.  Further, panel discussions provide a forum for discussing key components of orthopedic densitometry.

DXA Body Composition Analysis Course

This course focuses on the increase of knowledge and competence of clinicians and other professionals in order to successfully use DXA body composition analysis in the management of obesity, geriatric sarcopenia, and other low muscle mass states, general health, and pediatric skeletal disease. The inclusion of case studies will reinforce the knowledge gained and allow for application in the diagnosis, treatment, and therapies of patients with low bone mineral density.
