Leon lenchik, MD is Professor of Radiology and Division Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM) with over 20 years of research experience in quantitative imaging, focusing on sarcopenia, adiposity, and osteoporosis, spanning a range of technologies including CT, MRI, and DXA. He is Co-Leader of the Bio-imaging Resource Core of Wake Forest Older Americans Independence Center (WF OAIC), where he directs all imaging quality assurance procedures. His current research focuses on validation, automation, and implementation of novel CT measurements in the evaluation of body composition. He is also Assistant Dean for Faculty Mentoring at WFSM.
