Dr. Kathryn Barth is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of fractures in the upper and lower extremities, pelvis, and acetabulum. She has expertise in both operative and non-operative management of complex peri-articular fractures and post-traumatic problems such as deformity and non-unions (non-healing fractures).

Dr. Barth graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania while graduating with honors in her major in Health & Societies: Health Care Markets & Finance and completing premedical requirements. She attended the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL where she graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the Clare Geigerich Award for Outstanding Promise in Orthopaedic Surgery. She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. She went on to complete her residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery where she served in leadership roles and received the Distinguished Housestaff Award upon graduation. She then completed a year-long fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, one of the top training programs for orthopaedic trauma surgery in the country. She has also spent time abroad during her training learning about the reconstruction of complex traumatic injuries and non-unions at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital in Australia and Korea University Guru Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.

Dr. Barth is also passionate about improving the care of trauma patients through clinical outcomes research. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented research at numerous national research meetings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA).
