Activity Description

We will present BMD cases which present challenges to the technologist, review the relevant data on optimizing the BMD in this case, and review how to get the information needed to provide a clinically valid and useful report. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify which sites should be measured during bone densitometry, and under what circumstances.
2. Identify how to optimize the technical details of the bone density measurement during follow-up scans.
3. Identify common radiographic abnormalities on the densitometry which are actionable.

Instructions:

Clinicians and Technologists are required to answer a set of online test questions following the review of the video and will have up to three attempts to answer questions correctly before losing credit for the activity. Once the activity test has been passed (75% or higher), you will be asked to evaluate the activity online and then be allowed to claim credit and print certificates.
